ISLAMABAD: Caretaker Federal Minister for Health, Dr. Nadeem Jan, on Wednesday officially launched the “Mera Sehat Card” mobile application during a ceremony.
In his address, the minister highlighted that the “Sehat Sahulat Programme” has been a pioneering initiative in the realm of healthcare digitalization from its inception.
Dr. Nadeem Jan announced that the “Mera Sehat Card” is now available for download on both the Android Play Store and the Apple App Store.
Initially, the card is accessible to permanent resident families (according to NADRA records) residing in Islamabad, Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan, and District Tharparkar in Sindh.
He further mentioned that the plan is to make the “Meera Sehat Card” available to all citizens of Pakistan soon. The application provides a comprehensive list of family members, facilitating families in managing their healthcare needs effectively.
Additionally, the app maintains a record of an individual’s medical treatment history, ensuring that medical caregivers have access to accurate information.
The minister explained that citizens now have transparent access to available treatments through the app. He also highlighted the government’s commitment to implementing an integrated strategy to enhance modern healthcare facilities and instituting reforms to improve the health sector. —APP
