BIRMINGHAM: England won the toss and elected to bowl first against Pakistan in the third and final Test of the series at Edgbaston on Wednesday.
England enter the contest with an unassailable 2-0 lead after victories at Headingley and Lord’s, while Pakistan will seek to finish the series with a win.
The hosts have enjoyed the better record in Tests between the two sides, winning 32 of their 94 meetings. Pakistan have won 23, while 39 matches have ended in draws.
Pakistan are also searching for their first Test victory at Edgbaston, where they have gone eight matches without a win, recording three draws and five defeats.
Pakistan Seek Strong Finish at Edgbaston
Pakistan have made significant changes to their squad for the series finale, with several young players included alongside experienced names such as captain Babar Azam, Shan Masood, Saud Shakeel and Mohammad Abbas.
