Pakistan Condoles with Philippines Over Deadly Landslide

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan on Tuesday expressed profound grief over the tragic landslide in the Southern Philippines, which claimed numerous lives.

“Our deepest condolences to the Government, people of the Philippines, and the families of the victims,” stated the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on its official social media platform.

The ministry also emphasized that this incident serves as yet another poignant reminder of the devastating impacts of climate change and underscores the imperative for unified efforts to address it.

According to reports from Philippine officials, the death toll from the landslide has climbed to 68 individuals. The landslide occurred in the mountainous Masara village on Mindanao island.
