ISLAMABAD: Senate Chairman Muhammad Sadiq Sanjrani has said that Pakistan attaches great importance to its multifaceted relationship with the United States and desires to further strengthen these ties.
He expressed these views during a meeting with US delegation comprising of Parliamentarian and Ambassador of United States Donald Blome in Islamabad.
The discussions revolved around a wide range of topics, including regional security, economic cooperation, trade partnerships, and people-to-people exchanges.
During the meeting, Chairman Senate Muhammad Sadiq Sanjrani emphasized the importance of continued dialogue between the two nations to address common challenges and promote peace and stability in the region.
Senate Chairman stresses for enhanced trade ties with US
He called for enhanced trade relations and cooperation in the fields of education, healthcare, and technology.
Chairman Senate added the government and people of Pakistan consider the US as a friend and important partner in socio-economic progress as well as regional peace and security.
The US delegation applauded Pakistan’s efforts in maintaining regional stability and reiterated the United States’ commitment to supporting Pakistan’s development goals.
Sadiq Sanjrani said that Pakistan desires peace in Afghanistan adding both US and Pakistan have suffered losses due to terrorism.

The chairman Senate also highlighted the Kashmir issue saying that it needs to be resolved in accordance with UN resolution. Innocent Kashmiris are being subjected to violence and torture by the Indian forces occupying the valley illegally.
Chairman Senate urged the US investors to come forward and invest in mining sector of Pakistan.
Both side during the meeting discussed ways to promote cultural exchanges and people-to-people connections, fostering a deeper understanding between the citizens of both countries.
