ISLAMABAD: The Chief of Army Staff (COAS) and Chief of Defence Forces, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, has affirmed that the Pakistan Army remains fully committed to addressing both internal and external challenges, including hostile hybrid operations, extremist ideologies, and divisive forces.
As per a statement from the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) issued on Saturday, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, NI (M), HJ, COAS and CDF, visited the Gujranwala and Sialkot Garrisons.

Upon his arrival, the Field Marshal was briefed on the formation’s operational readiness and key initiatives aimed at enhancing combat preparedness. He also observed a field training exercise and an advanced simulator training facility, commending the formation’s high professional standards and overall state of readiness.
Technological adaptability
Emphasising the importance of technological adaptability, he stated that modern warfare requires agility, precision, situational awareness, and quick decision-making.
During his interaction with officers and soldiers, the COAS and CDF praised their high morale and unwavering dedication to national security, while stressing the significance of rigorous and mission-focused training.
Asim Munir highlighted that the Pakistan Army remains resolutely focused on addressing both internal and external challenges, including hostile hybrid campaigns, extremist ideologies, and divisive elements that seek to undermine national stability.
On his arrival in Gujranwala, the COAS and CDF were welcomed by the Corps Commander of Gujranwala.
