BEIJING: Pakistan’s Ambassador to China, Moin ul Haque, expressed Islamabad’s keenness to enhance its ties with China and accelerate the high-quality joint construction of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) projects.
He also emphasized the need to deepen economic, trade, cultural, and sub-national exchanges to elevate bilateral relations.
Addressing a farewell reception, Moin ul Haque said that friendship between Pakistan and China is unbreakable and iron-clad, calling it an inevitable trend in history and the aspiration of both nations.
He commended the consistent goodwill and empathy shown by the Chinese people towards Pakistan in every significant moment, emphasizing the enduring and extensive nature of the friendship despite external changes and challenges.
Ambassador Haque regarded his mission in China as a highlight of his career and expressed his deep appreciation for the sincere friendship between the Pakistani and Chinese people during his tenure. He shared that his visits to various regions in China had left him with beautiful memories and allowed him to witness China’s impressive economic development over the past 40 years, which he believed Pakistan could learn from.
During the event, Ambassador Haque extended his heartfelt gratitude to individuals from all walks of life for their contributions to the friendship between Pakistan and China. He highlighted the deep-rooted history and rich culture shared by the two nations.
The reception was attended by Chang Qide, the United Nations Coordinator in China, as well as ambassadors from Indonesia, Uzbekistan, Lebanon, and Turkey in China, in addition to officials from the Embassy of Pakistan in China and representatives from various sectors who have long supported the China-Pakistan friendship.
