MADRID: Police sources said on Wednesday that a church official was killed and several others wounded, including a priest, when a man wielding a bladed weapon attacked a church in the southern part of Spain.
Church Attack in Spain
The Ministry of Interior said that the attack took place at San Isidro church in the city of Algeciras. The officials of the Ministry said that a man carried out an assault with a bladed weapon, killing one person and injuring several others. It said that one wounded person is in a very critical condition.
A police source told the media that the victim of the attack was a church official and added the priest was among the wounded. The police source did not specify how the attack was conducted but local media said the attacker was wielding a knife.
