Mexico City: Officials said that at least one person was killed and twenty-two were wounded in a train collision on Mexico City’s metro on Saturday.
The city’s mayor, Claudia Sheinbaum, said on Twitter that the accident occurred as trains were beginning service. City security chief Omar Garcia told the media that the killed was identified as a young woman while twenty-two wounded received minor injuries.
Omar Garcia added that four others persons who were stuck on one wagon on Line 3 were saved and are in good health.

Mexico Train Accident
Reports said that several accidents have taken place on the metro in the last several years. However, the most serious incident took place in May 2021 collapse of a rail overpass on Line 12 that killed twenty-six people and wounded more than 60 people.
