JEDDAH, Saudi Arabia: The General Secretariat of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) has announced the 2024 International Symposium on the Question of Al-Qods.
This event is being organized in collaboration with the United Nations Committee on the Exercise of the Inalienable Rights of the Palestinian People (CEIRPP). The symposium, themed “Al-Qods and the Gaza War: Palestinian Identity and Existence Under Threat of Erasure,” is scheduled for Monday, 1st July 2024, at 9:00 am at the OIC Headquarters in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
Participants will include OIC Secretary-General H.E. Mr. Hissein Brahim Taha, UN Assistant Secretary-General H.E. Mr. Mohamed Khaled Khiari, and Ambassador Cheikh Niang, Chair of the CEIRPP and Permanent Representative of Senegal to the UN.
Additionally, Ambassador Riyad Mansour, Permanent Observer of the State of Palestine to the UN, along with other distinguished panelists, will speak at the event.
The symposium will also be attended by the Permanent Representatives of OIC Member States, ensuring a broad and impactful dialogue on the pressing issues facing Palestinian identity and existence.
