OIC Rejects European Parliament’s Resolution on Bahrain Human Rights

JEDDAH: The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) has rejected the resolution of the European Parliament on the human rights situation in the Middle Eastern country Bahrain, and called the decision of the European Parliament baseless.

OIC also noted that the decision of the European Parliament is based on inaccurate information that offends Bahrain and Organization of Islamic Cooperation.

OIC appreciation for Bahrain

The Organization of Islamic Cooperation also praised Bahrain’s commitment to the principles of human rights, international standards, and international law and its protection of the rights and freedom of citizens and residents within its territories. The Organization of Islamic Cooperation appreciated Bahrain for what it has achieved in the field of Human Rights and for renewing its support for and solidarity with Bahrain. — APP
