NSC, CDC Sign Digitization Agreement

ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Finance and Revenue Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar graced the signing ceremony of the pilot project of the Digitization/Dematerialization agreement of National Saving Certificates (NSCs) through Central Depository Company of Pakistan Limited (CDC).

According to a press statement issued here by the finance ministry on Tuesday, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the CDC, Badiuddin Akber, and DG Hamid Raza signed the agreement on behalf of their respective organizations,

Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Finance (SAPM), Chairman CDC, Moin M Fudda, Tariq Bajwa, Chairman Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP), Akif Saeed, DG CDNS, Mr. Hamid Raza, and others were present on the occasion.

Dar Hails Digitization Agreement

Addressing the ceremony, Finance Minister Ishaq Dar extended his felicitations to the chairman of CDC & senior executives, DG CNDS, and chairman SECP for initiating an important project for the facilitation of investors of CDNS in the digital field.

He also appreciated the contributions of CNDS and CDC for the economic growth of the country and added that there was great potential and scope in CNDS to attract more investors for the economic prosperity of the country.

Ishaq Dar also appreciated the team of the Finance Division, especially the Secretary of Finance and the AFS (Budget), the statement added.
