ISLAMABAD: Speaker National Assembly, Raja Pervez Ashraf on Tuesday ‘accepted’ resignations of 43 Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Members National Assembly (MNAs) a day after the parliamentarians withdrew the same.
The resignations
On Monday, 44 PTI MNAs announced taking back their resignations they had submitted months before saying they want to return to the parliament in a bid to overthrow the ‘fake’ leader of the opposition in the House. However, the Speaker accepted the same apparently in a bid to save the prime minister from a ‘vote of confidence’.
