ISLAMABAD: Mari Petroleum Company Limited (MARI), one of the largest petroleum exploration and production company in Pakistan, announced on Monday the gas reserves in its exploratory well in Sindh.
The company said in a notice, it forwarded to Pakistan Stock Exchange that it has made a gas discovery in Mari Ghazij-1 well, located in Mari D&PL in Sindh.
The company said that the well was spud-in on 24 November 2022 and successfully drilled down to the depth of 1015 meters.
The gas flow rate established after Drill Stem Test (DST) is 5.1 million standard cubic feet per day with Wellhead Flowing Pressure of 232 pounds per square inch at 64/64 inch choke size, the notice said.
It added that Mari Petroleum Company plans to apprise the discovery to prove its extent and evaluate its development options.
