Man with Knife Wounds Several in Swiss Town of Zofingen

GENEVA, Switzerland: A man armed with a knife wounded several people on a street in Zofingen, a northern Swiss town, on Wednesday before being arrested, police said.

Police have not released a death toll or any details about the attacker.

The man first struck a passerby at a train station in the town of 12,000 in the Aargau canton, about 60 kilometers west of Zurich.

He then injured several people seemingly at random before entering the home, police said in a statement.

After two hours of negotiations with a specialized team, the man was detained, police said. The suspect was injured, police added.
