KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim has claimed that his government is making its best efforts to help the citizens cope with the skyrocketing prices of essential goods in the country, local media reported on Friday.
Malaysian PM Vows to Address Issue of Price Hike
The Prime Minister acknowledged the hardship suffered by many people after the rising cost of living in Malaysia. He said, “I admit the problems. There are issues concerning the price hike of goods and essential items”.
PM Anwar gave his assurance that the government was trying its best to address the increasing prices of goods that had affected people in the country. The Prime Minister informed the people that the issue of price hikes in the country is being dealt with by Minister Armizan Mohd Ali and his team to provide relief to the people.
Earlier, the Prime Minister of Malaysia said that the details on the execution of targeted subsidies would be presented during the next second Madani Budget in Oct.
