MAKKAH: On behalf of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz, Deputy Governor of Makkah Region Prince Saud bin Mishaal bin Abdulaziz performed the annual washing of the Holy Kaaba on Tuesday.
Prince Saud washed the interior of the Kaaba using Zamzam water mixed with rose water and premium oud, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported.
He also wiped the inner walls with cloths moistened with the specially prepared mixture, which was provided by the General Authority for the Care of the Affairs of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque.

The ceremony was attended by several senior officials, members of the Islamic diplomatic corps accredited to the Kingdom, and the caretakers of the Holy Kaaba.
