PAMPLONA, Spain: A huge and tightly-packed crowd of revellers jumps and chants together in the Spanish city of Pamplona during the “Chupinazo” (rocket launch) which marks the official start of the San Fermin Festival. Thousands of people every year attend the week-long festival and its famous ‘encierros’ (bull runs) in which six bulls are released at 8:00 a.m. every day starting July 7. “There’s just so many people, so much energy, like, think of like the craziest concert you’ve ever been to, times it by like a million, but it’s so fun,” says Kennedy Tapley, a tourist from Michigan. — Noemi Gragera, Maud Watine/AFPTV/AFP
