JEDDAH: Saudi Arabia’s vibrant city, Jeddah, hosted its first hands-on training on laser proctology at King Abdul Aziz University Hospital. The workshop, conducted in collaboration with Lasotronix Poland and technical support from a Jeddah-based distributor of laser machinery, drew doctors from around the world, including Morocco, Egypt, Bahrain, Algeria, among others.
Renowned physician Dr. Arshad Ullah Khan served as the master trainer during the workshop, showcasing live surgeries to demonstrate the advances in laser proctology. Dr. Arshad Ullah Khan highlighted the various benefits of laser surgery, including low post-operative pain, rapid recovery, optimal wound healing, and minimal complications compared to traditional open surgery.
Participants in the workshop, comprised of doctors from various countries, expressed their appreciation for the live surgical sessions, emphasizing the valuable insights gained in managing complex cases. They requested similar workshops in the future to further enhance their skills in laser proctology.
