KUWAIT CITY / MANAMA: Kuwait’s military has confirmed that its air defence systems have been activated in response to what it described as “hostile missile and drone threats” targeting the country.

Authorities stated that defensive measures are currently underway and urged residents to strictly follow official safety instructions and remain vigilant.

In a separate but related development, sirens were also heard in Bahrain, prompting the Interior Ministry to issue an urgent advisory.

The ministry called on citizens and residents to stay calm and immediately proceed to the nearest designated safe locations after the air raid warning was activated.

Officials in both countries have not yet provided further details regarding the origin or scale of the threats. However, security measures remain heightened as regional tensions continue to unfold.
