KSrelief Inaugurates Health Relief Projects in Africa

RIYADH: The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s (KSA) King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) has inaugurated two volunteer medical projects in Cameroon and Kenya, Arab media reported on Saturday.

As many as thirteen volunteer doctors and health experts from the aid agency’s medical and health team performed cardiac catheterization surgeries for patients in Kenya’s capital Nairobi. The project, operational from Monday to Friday, was rolled out in collaboration with the Al-Balsam organization, the Saudi Press Agency said.

“The program comes as an extension of the voluntary medical projects executed by KSrelief in various specialties to assist individuals and families with limited and low income in nations in need.

Similarly, 22 volunteer surgeons, including pediatrics, orthopedics, obstetrics, and gynecology and performed medical operations in Cameroon.

KSrelief vowed to continue its medical projects worldwide as it provided treatment to many patients in April in Yemen.

Sponsored by KSrelief, the ambulance service of Subul Al-Salam Social Association in Lebanon’s Al-Minya also carried out over 90 missions in a week. KSrelief also continued carrying out its food aid operations worldwide. According to Arab News, 750 earthquake-hit families received food and hygiene bags in Idlib, Syria. The aid team also provided 25 tons of dates as a gift from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to Burundi.
