KSA Launches Ramadan Gift Programs in Indonesia

RIYADH: The Saudi Ministry for Islamic Affairs, Call and Guidance, represented by the religious attache at the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s (KSA) Embassy in Indonesia, inaugurated the King Salman Gift Program in order to distribute copies of the Holy Qur’an and boxes of dates, and the Iftar package on Friday.

The event held at the headquarters of the attache in Jakarta, in the presence of the KSA envoy  to Indonesia, Faisal bin Abdullah Al-Amoudi, Saudi’s religious attache, Dr. Ahmed bin Ali Al-Hazmi, and many senior Islamic figures in Indonesia.

Ramadan gift program

Saudi’s envoy Al-Amoudi stressed that these efforts are an extension of the Saudi’s role in serving Islam and Muslims across the world, especially in Indonesia.

The envoy noted that these gifts were sent by King Salman to promote the humanitarian and Islamic work of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. He added that the government of Indonesia and people laude and respect Saudi Arabia, its leadership and people.

On this occasion, Al-Hazmi said that thanks to the King Salman Iftar Program as thousands of meals had been distributed among the people in Indonesia.

He stressed that Muslims across the world anticipate these programs annually with love, passion, and appreciation.

These programs are an execution of King Salman’s orders to distribute one million copies of the Holy Qur’an and tons of dates to people during the holy month of Ramadan in 2023, as a conclusion of the efforts made by the KSA in caring for Muslims worldwide.
