RIYADH: The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) and Kuwait on Wednesday reiterated that ownership of the natural resources in the Arabian Gulf, including the entire Al-Durra gas field, is joint ownership between the two nations, Arab media reported.

KSA, Kuwait Reaffirm Exclusive Ownership of Natural Resources in Al-Durra Field
In a statement, Saudi’s Ministry for Foreign Affairs said that KSA and Kuwait “exclusively have complete sovereign rights to take benefit from the wealth in that region.”

The two sides also renewed “their last and repeated calls” to Tehran to negotiate the eastern border of the submerged area divided between Kuwait and KSA as one negotiating party, and the Iranians as another party, as per the provisions of global law and the principles of good neighbourliness’, the ministry said.
