SEOUL: Kim Yo Jong, the sister of North Korea’s leader Kim Jong Un, was seen holding a US$7,000 bag from French luxury brand Dior during her recent visit to Russia, Western media reported on Sunday.
The bag with quilting patterns resembles the Dior bag presently being sold via Dior’s website, according to a photo issued by the North’s official news agency. The picture was taken while they were visiting the Yuri Gagarin Aviation Plant in the Russian Far East.
It is not the first time the ruling family of North Korea appeared in public brandishing luxury goods.
Earlier, Kim Jong Un’s daughter, Kim Ju Ae, was also seen wearing a black coat, also supposed to be from the French luxury brand Dior. Kim Jong Un himself was seen wearing a Swiss-made watch worth US$13,400 during a military parade celebrating the anniversary of its Worker’s Party in 2020.
