ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s State Minister for Foreign Affairs, Hina Rabbani Khar, met the foreign ministers of Bangladesh and Sri Lanka in Colombo on Saturday in two different meetings where all the dignitaries discussed bilateral ties and mutual cooperation.
According to a press release issued here, the meetings were held on the sideline of Sri Lanka’s independence festivities.
Bilateral Cooperation
In her meeting with the Bangladeshi Minister of Foreign Affairs, AK Abdul Momen, both the leaders discussed mutually beneficial bilateral cooperation in different sectors, especially in boosting the economy and trade.
Earlier in another meeting with the Foreign Minister of Sri Lanka Ali Sabry, both the dignitaries reaffirmed their resilience to further strengthen the close and friendly ties between Pakistan and Sri Lanka.

Pakistan’s cooperation with Sri Lanka
The minister of state Hina Rabbani Khar congratulated Ali Sabry on the Platinum Jubilee celebrations of Sri Lanka’s independence. Both the leaders also discussed bilateral relations and agreed to increase multidimensional bilateral cooperation in political, commercial, economic, educational, and defense domains.
They also agreed to continue cooperation at different international forums, comprising the United Nations and the South Asian Association for the Regional Cooperation (SAARC).
State Minister Hina Rabbani Khar is in Colombo on a two-day official visit to participate in the 75th Independence Day celebrations of Sri Lanka.
