NAIROBI: Police said on Saturday that a boat carrying tourists capsized in southeastern part of Kenya, killing three persons and leaving one person missing. Police said that dozens of people were rescued after the mishap in the African country.

Authorities said that the boat was transporting total 29 people including 15 foreigners. It added that the mishap took place at the Watamu Marine National Park and Reserve.

Police said that 26 people were rescued while several were shifted to nearby hospitals. The police authorities in Kenya rejected the rumors that the mishap took place due to overload. Police did not disclose the identities of the foreigners.
