LONDON: Kelly Clarkson, the Roses singer, is all praises for her children, River Rose and Remington Alexander, who she finds incredibly open about their feelings. She shared her thoughts while speaking at Audacy’s annual I’m Listening mental health broadcast.

Clarkson expressed her admiration for her kids’ emotional openness, saying, “I think it’s just a really cool thing that my little girl or little boy will walk in the room and be like, ‘Look, I’m feeling hurt right now, or this hurts my feelings.'”

She marveled at how her children’s behavior and emotional intelligence surpass her own experiences as a child. According to her, they are exceptionally advanced for their age, and she appreciates their early understanding of self-expression and emotional awareness.

Kelly Clarkson shares River Rose and Remington Alexander with her ex-husband Brandon Blackstock, with whom she divorced in 2020 after seven years of marriage.

Kelly Clarkson Releases Deluxe Edition

Meanwhile, Kelly Clarkson has released the deluxe edition of her latest album, “Chemistry,” on September 22, and it includes a special appearance from her daughter, River Rose, on the song “You Don’t Make Me Cry.”

“Chemistry,” initially released in June, is an intimate album that delves into Clarkson’s relationship with her ex-husband, Brandon Blackstock, with whom she shares their daughter River and son Remy, aged 7.

In the song “You Don’t Make Me Cry,” River Rose opens with a distinctive, auto-tuned part, displaying her budding musical talents. Kelly Clarkson then follows with candid lyrics, singing lines like, “And you don’t make me cry/And I cry at everything/You don’t make me feel, and I feel more than most now/That says something, doesn’t it?/So I am picking you from my garden, weeds are not allowed in/Guess you missed that.”

The song concludes with River Rose making another appearance and delivering a spot-on “The End.” The deluxe edition of “Chemistry” includes eight songs, featuring the track “You Don’t Make Me Cry.” Among these are a David Guetta remix of “Favorite Kind of High” and a Ty Sunderland remix of “Mine.”

As an added treat for fans, the album includes a live performance of “Mine” from a concert earlier this year at the Belasco Theater in Los Angeles. Other songs on the album are “I Won’t Give Up,” “Did You Know,” “Goodbye,” and “Roses.”
