AMMAN: King Abdullah II of Jordan had a meeting with General Michael E. Kurilla, the commander of US Central Command, on Monday at Al-Husseiniya Palace in Amman, according to Jordan News Agency.
The discussions primarily focused on enhancing defense cooperation between the two countries and the ongoing regional and international efforts to combat terrorism.
During the meeting, both King Abdullah II and General Kurilla explored avenues to further strengthen the defense ties between Jordan and the United States. They exchanged views on the current security situation in the region and discussed collaborative measures to address the challenges posed by terrorism.

The Chairman of Jordan’s Joint Chiefs of Staff, General Yousef Hneiti, also participated in the meeting, underscoring the importance of joint efforts in promoting stability and security in the region.
