DOHA: Jordanian King Abdullah II on Wednesday held meeting with the Emir of Qatari Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad in Doha. They discussed bilateral ties and prospects for expanding economic, political and investment cooperation during the meeting.
Jordanian state news agency Petra said that King Abdullah and Sheikh Tamim stressed the significance of maintaining discussion and coordination between the two sides on matters of mutual interest, regional stability, and bilateral cooperation.

They also discussed regional and international affairs during the meeting. The two leaders exchanged views on the Palestinian cause, with King Abdullah reaffirming the need to enhance efforts in order to revive peace prospects on the basis of the two states’ solution, and stressing the significance of preventing all illegal Israeli steps that undermine the peace process.
From Doha, the Jordanian King will head to Canada on an official visit, where he will hold meetings with Canada Governor General Mary Simon and Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.
