Jordan Hosts Conference on Restorative Justice in Modern Criminal Policy

DEAD SEA, JORDAN: Over 200 legal experts and public prosecutors from the Arab world and Europe gathered on Thursday at an international conference on “Restorative Justice in Modern Criminal Policy” in Jordan to discuss modern criminal justice and the legal system.

The three-day event was organized by the Jordanian Judicial Council and Naif Arab University for Security Sciences.

Legal Experts arrive in Jordan

The conference aims to ease the transition to modern justice and brings together public prosecutors from the gulf, Jordan, and around the world.

The conference will hold debates on several challenges of introducing restorative justice and provide a forum for the exchange of expertise and knowledge.

The conference was inaugurated by Judicial Council President Mohammad Ghazou on behalf of Jordan’s King Abdullah II. He hoped the event and its research would “help develop future criminal policies in their countries.”
