GAZA CITY, Palestine: Israeli forces and illegal settlers killed at least 11 Palestinians in Gaza and the occupied West Bank on Tuesday, Palestinian officials said, in the latest violence despite a fragile ceasefire in place since October 10, 2025.
At least seven people were killed in Gaza in a series of Israeli attacks, while 21 others were injured over a 24-hour period, according to WAFA news agency.
WAFA news agency reported that three Palestinians were killed near Khan Younis in southern Gaza.
Another man was later killed in an Israeli drone strike near the Sheikh Nasser neighbourhood, east of the city, the news agency reported.
Mahmoud Basal, spokesperson for Gaza’s civil defence, cited by Xinhua news agency, said that an Israeli drone hit a police checkpoint in Khan Younis’s Al-Amal neighbourhood.
Mahmoud Basal said three people were killed in that strike and their bodies were taken to the hospital.
In northern Gaza, a Palestinian woman was killed when Israeli naval forces shelled tents sheltering displaced families in the Al-Salatin area, west of Beit Lahiya, according to Palestinian medical sources.
Another Israeli strike on a group of people at the Dawla roundabout in Gaza City’s Zeitoun neighbourhood killed one person and injured several others.
Earlier, quadcopter drones dropped explosives on a tent sheltering displaced Palestinians in the Shujayea area, setting it on fire.
Killings in occupied West Bank
In the occupied West Bank, four Palestinians were killed on Tuesday, according to the Palestinian Ministry of Health.
Two of them were killed in an attack by illegal Israeli settlers on al-Mughayyir village, east of Ramallah.
The ministry identified them as 14-year-old Aws Hamdi al-Na’san and 32-year-old Jihad Marzouq Abu Na’im, who were shot when illegal settlers attacked a local school.
Four others were wounded. Local officials said Israeli soldiers opened fire while protecting the illegal settlers.
The Israel Defense Forces said it was investigating the incident. It stated that troops had been deployed after a civilian vehicle carrying a reserve soldier was attacked with stones, and that the soldier opened fire at suspects.
In Hebron, a 16-year-old, Mohammad Majdi al-Jaabari, was killed after being struck by a vehicle in a security convoy escorting Israeli Settlement Minister Orit Strock near the settlement of Kiryat Arba, according to media reports.
The Israeli newspaper Haaretz, citing a security source, said the convoy was travelling to provide security for the minister.
Separately, a 49-year-old Palestinian woman died from injuries sustained after being shot by Israeli forces during a raid on the Jenin refugee camp, the Palestinian Health Ministry said.
Rising toll amid ceasefire
Israeli illegal settlements on occupied Palestinian land are considered illegal under international law.
Violence has persisted despite a ceasefire between Israel and Hamas that took effect on October 10, 2025.
According to Gaza health authorities, about 777 Palestinians have been killed and more than 2,100 injured in Gaza since the ceasefire began.
In the West Bank, the Palestinian Health Ministry said at least 1,152 Palestinians, including 239 children, have been killed and more than 11,885 injured since October 7, 2023.
At least 48 Palestinians have been killed there since the start of this year.
