No further information was provided on the circumstances surrounding the deaths of the two Palestinians.
The Israeli military said in a brief statement that it had launched “counterterrorism activity” near the village, during which “suspects shot live fire” at them from a passing vehicle.
It said that “the soldiers responded with live fire and hits were identified,” adding that no Israeli armed forces personnel were reported wounded.
The Palestinian health ministry identified the two young men as Ezzedine Bassem Hamamra, 24, and Amjad Adnan Khaliliya, 23.
The health ministry also said that 19-year-old Yazen Samer Jaabari, injured by Israeli forces earlier this month, died of his wounds.
