KHAN YOUNIS: Israel’s army ordered the evacuation Saturday of a crowded area of Gaza designated as a humanitarian zone, announcing it is planning an offensive against Hamas in Khan Younis, including parts of Muwasi, where thousands of Gazans are seeking shelters.
It is the second evacuation issued in a week in a region designated for Palestinian people fleeing other areas of the Gaza Strip. Many innocent Palestinians have been uprooted many times in search of safety during Israel’s brutal military campaign.
On Monday, following the evacuation order, multiple Israeli attacks hit Khan Younis, killing more than 70 people, Gaza’s Health Ministry said.

Over 180,000 Gazans have fled fierce war around the southern Gaza city of Khan Yunis in four days, the United Nations confirmed Friday, following an Israeli operation to extract hostages’ bodies from the region.
The UN humanitarian agency, OCHA said that the current “intensified hostilities” in the Khan Yunis have fueled fresh waves of internal displacement across Gaza. It added that about 182,000 people have been displaced from the between Monday and Thursday, and hundreds are still stranded in the area.
The new development comes as Egyptian media reported that US and Qatari mediators are to meet with Israeli negotiators in Rome Sunday in the latest push for a Gaza ceasefire, Egyptian media reported.
Al-Qahera news reported that a four-way meeting between American, Qatari and Egyptian mediators in the presence of Israel’s spy chief will be held in Rome, Italy on Sunday to reach an agreement on a ceasefire in Gaza.
Israel launched a brutal military campaign against the Gaza Strip, killing more than 39,175 people including women and children in the territory, according to Gaza health ministry.
