LAHORE: Islamabad United have made another late addition to their squad ahead of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 11, starting Today on Thursday.

The franchise announced the signing of young right-handed batter Mohsin Riaz from Sheikhupura via their official social media platforms, welcoming him as the newest member of the squad.

“Islamabad United is excited to welcome the dynamic Mohsin Riaz to the ISLU family,” the post read.

Earlier, the three-time champions were forced to make a change to their overseas lineup, replacing Australia’s Max Bryant with fellow countryman Chris Green.

Bryant, who had been picked for Rs19.5 million in last month’s draft, was ruled out due to injury, prompting the last-minute adjustment. Green has been brought in as his replacement for Rs14 million.

Mohsin Riaz, 25, has shown encouraging signs in domestic T20 cricket. He has featured in eight matches, scoring 106 runs at a strike rate of 137.66. More recently, while representing the Sialkot Region in the National T20 Cup, he accumulated 61 runs in four matches at a strike rate of 135.55.

Islamabad United are scheduled to begin their PSL 11 campaign on Saturday against Multan Sultans at Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium, as the expanded eight-team tournament gets underway.
