KARACHI, Pakistan: Islamabad United won the toss and elected to field first against Karachi Kings in the 10th match of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) season 10 at the National Stadium in Karachi on Sunday.
Islamabad United, who are yet to lose a match in PSL 10, head into this clash undefeated and at the top of the points table.
Karachi Kings, on the other hand, are sitting third with two wins and one loss, having showcased their all-round strength in their recent 56-run victory over Quetta Gladiators.
Both teams come into this encounter with dominant performances behind them.
Karachi Kings are led by David Warner, with in-form players like James Vince and Hasan Ali driving the team’s success.
Vince has been pivotal in the Karachi Kings’ batting lineup, scoring 171 runs in the tournament so far, while Ali has led their bowling attack with eight wickets.
Islamabad United, under the captaincy of Shadab Khan, have been formidable across all departments.
Their top-order batsman Sahibzada Farhan has been in scintillating form, amassing 184 runs in the tournament, while Jason Holder’s all-round brilliance has been a key factor in their victories.
Holder is also their leading wicket-taker with nine scalps. In their last match against Multan Sultans, Islamabad United posted an impressive 202 for 6, with Holder contributing a crucial 32 runs off 14 balls and then taking 4 wickets to bowl out Multan for 155, leading them to a 47-run victory.
