Islamabad Raises Bisham Attack with Kabul

Kabul: Pakistan and Afghanistan have agreed to remain engaged to confront the threat posed by terrorism to regional nations and to address the concerns raised by Pakistan.

The two sides made the agreement during the visit of Pakistan’s Secretary Interior, Muhammad Khurram Agha to Kabul. Muhammad Khurram Agha held a detailed meeting with the Interim Afghan Deputy Minister for Interior, Muhammad Nabi Omari.  According to media reports, the meeting focused on the terror attack of 26th March 2024 at Besham.

Radio Pakistan reported that the Secretary Interior shared the findings of the Government of Pakistan into the Bisham terrorist attack and sought Kabul’s assistance in apprehending the culprits.

The Afghan side agreed to examine the findings of the probe and expressed the resolve to work with the Pakistan to take the investigation to its logical conclusion.

At least 6 people including five Chinese citizens were killed after a suicide bomber rammed into the bus transporting the staff working on the Dasu hydropower project in Bisham, Shangla.
