ISLAMABAD: Iranian Navy submarines and ships on Sunday visited Karachi port and participated in naval exercises with Pakistan Navy (PN).
According to a statement issued by Pakistan Navy, the PN officials along with the Iranian consulate crew warmly welcomed the visiting flotilla. National anthem tunes of both brotherly countries were played as a mark of respect.
Visit reaffirms joint efforts
The Iranian Navy’s visit reaffirms joint efforts to boost regional stability and maritime security for the protection of seafarers and sealines of communication in the region.
Both navies held professional interactions and tabletop discussions on matters of mutual interest. Upon the conclusion of the visit, a passage exercise of both navies was conducted to expand naval cooperation.
