TEHRAN: Brigadier General Aziz Nasirzadeh, the Deputy Chief of Staff of Iran’s Armed Forces, lauded the resilience of Palestinian resistance groups, highlighting their ability to challenge and dismantle Israeli military hegemony despite their limited resources.
Speaking about the ongoing conflict in Gaza, General Nasirzadeh highlighted how inexpensive rockets employed by the Palestinian resistance have effectively countered the sophisticated and costly Israeli Iron Dome defense system.
“In the war in Gaza, we see how cheap resistance rockets have challenged the very advanced and expensive system of the Iron Dome,” General Nasirzadeh stated. He emphasized that the conflict vividly shown the divide between right and wrong, showcasing the Palestinians’ ability to counter a well-equipped army with modest resources.
Iranian Commander Condemns Israeli Tactics
General Nasirzadeh condemned the Israeli regime’s tactics, describing them as cowardly and involving the use of prohibited weapons. He accused Israel of committing grave crimes against humanity by targeting defenseless and oppressed civilians in Gaza.
The October 7 attack by Hamas was a response to the Israel’s storming of Al-Aqsa Mosque in occupied East Jerusalem and the increasing violence perpetrated by Israeli settlers against Palestinians.
Since then, Israel launched brutal airstrikes across the Gaza Strip, resulting in the deaths of over 5,087 innocent Palestinian civilians, including numerous children and women, and injuring over 16,000 others. Israel has also imposed a complete siege on Gaza, cutting off the supply of essential resources such as electricity, food, water, and fuel.
