ISLAMABAD: Indian state terrorism over the past thirty-four years has forced the citizens of Jammu and Kashmir to abandon their homes in occupied Jammu and Kashmir and live a refugee life outside the territory.

A report released by Kashmir Media Service (KMS) on World Refugee Day today said when the world is observing the day, over forty thousand citizens of occupied Jammu and Kashmir, including women, men, and children are spending a homeless life.

Hundreds of thousands of Muslims in Jammu were expelled by Dogra Military and Hindu fanatics RSS in 1947. Over 2.5m took refuge in Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Pakistan and the United Kingdom, and other parts of the world since 1947.

The report maintained that the IIOJK’s Muslim majority has been facing a high threat to its existence due to the forced expulsion, which is goal at changing the territory’s demography and turning it into a Hindu state.

While urging the world community to take notice of India’s nefarious and anti-Kashmir designs in IIOJK, the report said that the Kashmiri people are suffering because of the unresolved Kashmir dispute.
