Athens, Greece: At a market in Athens, butchers sell lamb meat ahead of the Greek Orthodox Easter. “Every Easter, as is tradition, Greeks roast lamb on the spit over charcoal,” says 52-year-old butcher Niotis Andreas. “It’s the most delicious food we can eat during the Easter days,” adds Georgia, who works in a butchery, “On Easter Sunday, they start roasting the lambs on the spits and celebrate with traditional dances and songs”.
