TEL AVIV: Hezbollah has said that it launched a salvo of Fadi 1 missiles at the Carmel base, south of Haifa, and conducted a rocket assault on the Nimra base, west of Tiberias.
According to Al-Jazeera strike on Haifa was its 18th assault on Israeli positions on Sunday, while the one on Tiberias marked its first attack today. Israeli media reported that at least eleven people have been injured in the Hezbollah attack.
Israeli police also confirmed attacks on Haifa, Israel’s third-largest city and Tiberias. Hezbollah stated that it targeted an army base south of Haifa with a salvo of “Fadi 1” missiles. Western media reported that two rockets hit Haifa on Israel’s Mediterranean Coast and 5 others hit Tiberias 65 km away.
Police said some compounds and properties were also damaged, and there were several reports of minor injuries with some persons taken to a hospital. Video taken by camera showed the moment a Hezbollah rocket hit the city.

Earlier, Israel’s army said fighter jets hit targets belonging to Hezbollah’s Intelligence Headquarters in Beirut, Lebanon.
Over the last few hours, the airstrikes struck Hezbollah arms storage facilities in the area of Beirut, Israeli military claimed, noting that secondary blasts were identified after the strikes, indicating the presence of weaponry.
Israel launched the heaviest bombardment in weeks across Lebanon to target Hezbollah, a long-standing ally of Hamas, ahead of the anniversary of Hamas’s October 7 attack on Israel.
Lebanon’s Prime Minister, Najib Mikati, called for immediate international intervention, urging global powers to pressure Israel into halting the assault. Lebanese Education Minister Abbas Halabi also announced the postponement of the school year until November 4 due to security concerns.
Meanwhile, in Gaza, the Israeli military launched strikes in the Jabaliya area killing at least 17 Palestinians, including children.
