PESHAWAR: Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province in Pakistan, Ali Amin Gandapur, has announced the restoration of free medical treatment through Health Cards for all residents of the province, effective from the onset of the holy month of Ramazan.
Addressing the media following a cabinet meeting, CM Gandapur reaffirmed his government’s commitment to prioritizing peace and security within the province. As part of welfare measures during Ramazan, he unveiled plans to disburse cash amounts totaling Rs. 10,000 each to approximately 850,000 deserving persons identified through the Ehsas Program, with an additional Rs. 10,000 allocated to an extra 150,000 beneficiaries from all provincial constituencies.
To alleviate the burden on impoverished citizens, the chief minister announced the establishment of “Langar Khanay” and pledged to organize “Sehri” and “Iftari” meals at hospitals to assist attendants of patients.

Furthermore, CM Gandapur outlined initiatives to empower youth through skills training for job creation, alongside financial assistance in the form of grants and interest-free loans to facilitate the establishment of their businesses.
Emphasizing the province’s development agenda, CM Gandapur urged the federal government to expedite the release of arrears of Net Hydel Profit. He commended Prime Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif’s visit to rain-affected areas and his pledge to compensate affected families, noting that the provincial government had already allocated funds for relief efforts.
CM Gandapur announced the withdrawal of perks, privileges, and security provided to former chief ministers, citing their financial strain on the province’s resources. He underscored a commitment to transparency in government affairs, warning of stringent measures against corrupt elements.
