GAZA: The Board of Peace announced on Friday that Hamas has agreed to a detailed roadmap for implementing the next phases of the Gaza ceasefire, following months of negotiations mediated by Egypt, Qatar, Türkiye and the United States.
In a statement posted on X, the Board of Peace said the agreement advances US President Donald Trump’s vision for new governance, security, humanitarian relief, reconstruction and economic recovery in Gaza, as outlined in the Comprehensive Peace Plan and UN Security Council Resolution 2803.

According to the statement, the roadmap marks a “historic breakthrough”, with Hamas committing for the first time to an actionable plan to relinquish all of its weapons. The disarmament process is expected to be followed by a phased withdrawal of Israeli forces from Gaza.
The Board of Peace said the agreement aims to improve living conditions for Palestinians in Gaza while strengthening security for Israel.
It added that attention will now shift to implementing the roadmap. The Board said it has been working closely with the National Committee for the Administration of Gaza (NCAG), which is expected to assume authority through a phased transition supported by the International Stabilisation Force (ISF).
According to the statement, the transition will focus on restoring the rule of law, enhancing security, and improving humanitarian conditions across Gaza.
The announcement reflects the claims made by the Board of Peace. Relevant parties have not yet independently confirmed all aspects of the roadmap.
Trump says Israel to withdraw from Gaza after Hamas disarmament
US President Donald Trump has announced that Israeli forces will withdraw from Gaza once the disarmament of Hamas is completed, describing the proposed arrangement as a “historic” breakthrough for the war-ravaged territory.
In a post on his Truth Social platform, Trump said the agreement, reached through Gaza Board of Peace, outlines a phased Israeli military withdrawal linked to the completion of Hamas’s disarmament.

According to Trump, an International Stabilisation Force will assume responsibility for maintaining security in Gaza alongside a newly established Palestinian police force. He said the new security framework is intended to ensure the safety of both Gaza’s residents and neighbouring Israel.
“As disarmament is completed, Israeli forces will withdraw, and the International Stabilisation Force will work with a new Palestinian police force to take responsibility for Gaza being safe for its residents and its neighbours,” Trump wrote.
He added that the proposed arrangement would provide Israel with the security it seeks by ensuring Gaza is no longer used as a base for militant attacks.
Trump also said the agreement represents “a critical step” towards the formation of a new Palestinian administration that would work closely with the Gaza Board of Peace to improve governance and support the Palestinian people.
The announcement comes amid ongoing international efforts to find a lasting political and security framework for Gaza following months of conflict.
Hamas says Gaza committee to supervise weapons storage
A senior Hamas official said on Friday that a newly formed Palestinian technocratic body tasked with administering Gaza will oversee the storage and management of the group’s weapons under the agreement reached with Israel.
According to AFP, the official said the National Committee for Administration of Gaza (NCAG) will be responsible for cataloguing and storing the weapons in line with the agreed implementation timeline.
The official added that the committee will be the only authorised body permitted to possess, store and oversee weapons in Gaza under the terms of the agreement.
Egypt to host meeting on second phase of Gaza ceasefire plan
Egypt is set to host a meeting of key mediators involved in the Gaza ceasefire efforts to discuss the implementation of the second phase of the truce roadmap, according to state-linked broadcaster Al-Qahera News.
The report said representatives from Egypt, the United States, Qatar and Türkiye are expected to participate in the talks. However, no date has yet been announced for the meeting.
According to the broadcaster, discussions will centre on advancing the second phase of the ceasefire plan, which has reportedly been accepted by Hamas and other Palestinian factions.
