GUJRANWALA, Pakistan: In a dramatic turn of events, two women entered into a heated argument that later turned out to be a full-fledged fist fight, over the ownership of an American cat here in Punjab’s central district Gujranwala.
The exquisite American cat was spotted roaming the streets approximately one month ago. According to details, Rani Bibi, a resident of Sadhoke, took it upon herself to rescue and provide a loving home for the cat. Zubaida Bibi, a neighboring resident, soon laid claim to the cat, asserting that the cat rightfully belonged to her.
The dispute intensified over time with neither party willing to back down from their claim. The intensity of the dispute culminated led to a shocking altercation between the two women. They exchanged harsh words and, in a fit of rage, began to assault each other physically.
According to an eyewitness account, Rani Bibi and Zubaida Bibi first exchanged harsh words and then started slapping and punching each other over the ownership of the cat.
As news of the altercation spread throughout the neighbourhood, people rushed to intervene, attempting to separate the two women who were locked in by that time.
According to rough estimates, the cat is said to be of significant value in terms of money. Given the high stakes involved, the police have initiated an investigation to determine the cat’s real owner.
