ISLAMABAD: Minister for Information and Broadcasting Marriyum Aurangzeb has said that the incumbent government had taken practical steps for the protection of the rights of the journalist community.
In her congratulatory message she delivered on Sunday, to the newly-elected office-bearers of Peshawar Press Club (PPC), she said that the current government fully believed in freedom of expression.

The information minister congratulated senior journalist Arshad Aziz Malik being elected as President Peshawar Press Club, Rizwan Sheikh as Vice President, Irfan Musazai as General Secretary PPC, Tayyab Usman as Joint Secretary, Imad Waheed as Finance Secretary and other members of the governing body on their success in the elections of Peshawar Press Club held the other day.
The minister said that journalists from Peshawar Press Club, Islamabad Press Club and other press clubs and Unions had always promoted positive and responsible journalism in the country.
She expressed her best wished and hoped that the newly elected members of Peshawar Press Club would devote their skills and energy for the betterment and welfare of the Press Club and the journalist community. — APP
