Gold Price up by Rs 900 to Settle at Rs 221,200 Per Tola in Pakistan

ISLAMABAD: Due to the continued increase in the international market for the last couple of days, the price per tola 24 karats of gold also witnessed an increase by Rs 900 in Pakistan’s local market on Monday to settle at Rs 221,200 against the previous day sale of Rs 220,300. 

Meanwhile, according to the All Sindh Sarafa Jewellers Association, the rates for the 10 grams of 24 karats of the yellow metal went up by Rs 771 to Rs 189,643 from the previous day’s price of Rs 188,872 while the prices of 10 grams of 22 karats of the yellow metal increased up to Rs 173,840 from the previous rates of Rs 173,132. 

However, like the previous day, the rates for per tola and ten-grams of white gold (silver) remained constant at Rs 2,600 and Rs 2,229.08 respectively.

Gold Price in International Market

Like the local bullion market, the price for the precious metal in the international market also witnessed an upward trend and went up by $03 to settle at $2,106 from the previous day’s price of $2,103 per ounce.

Observing a significant decrease of over $35 in the first and 2nd week of February, the price of the precious metal in the international market witnessed continued appreciation by over $50 per ounce during the last few days. The Price for the yellow metal in the local bullion market is mostly affected by the rates in the international market.
