Gold Price up by Rs.1,100 to Settle at Rs 216,800 Per Tola

ISLAMABAD: After an increase of Rs900 last day, the price of per tola 24 karats of gold witnessed further increase and went up by Rs1,100 to settle at Rs 216,800 on Friday against the previous day sale of Rs 215,700 per tola.

Meanwhile, according to All Sindh Sarafa Jewellers Association, the rates for the 10 grams of 24 karats of the yellow plate also went up by Rs943 to reach at Rs185,871 from its last day price of Rs184,928 while the price for the 10 grams of 22 karats of the precious metal increased to Rs170,382 from the last day rates of Rs169,517.

However, the rates for the per tola and ten-grams of the white gold (silver) observed no change and remained constant at Rs2,570 and Rs2,203.36 respectively.

Gold Price in International Market

The price of gold in the international market increased, the Association reported.

Like the local bullion market, the rates for the precious metal in the international market also witnessed an upward trend and went up by $10 to settle at $2,067 per punce against the last day price of from $2,057 per ounce.

Observing a significant decrease by over $35 in the first and 2nd week of February, the price of the precious metal in the international market observed appreciation by over $25 per ounce during the last few days. The Price for the yellow metal in the local bullion market mostly affected by the price in the international market.
