BERLIN: A spokesperson for the Germany’s Foreign Office said on Friday that European Union (EU) foreign ministers are expected to agree on more sanctions targeting Iran’s Revolutionary Guard soldiers at their meeting in Brussels on Monday.
Germany and EU building pressure on Iran
At a regular government press conference in Berlin, to question whether sanctions could hamper diplomatic efforts to prevent Iran from producing nuclear weapons, the spokesperson said: “Currently, the focus of our policy is increasing pressure on the Iranian regime.”
