LONDON: Police said that three women and a seven-year-old girl were wounded in an alleged drive-by shooting after a funeral in London on Saturday.

London’s Met Police said in a statement that the incident happened in the area of a church where a funeral was taking place. Initial reports suggest the shots were fired from a moving car which was then driven away from the area, Police said.

Three women were injured in the firing incident close to the busy Euston train station in London. Police said that one of them is in critical condition while the other two are not in danger. Police added that they have no idea about the condition of the seven-year-old girl.

One witness told the media that the shots took place as mourners were attending the joint funeral of a daughter and mother. Police said that an investigation has been started after the shooting.
