ISLAMABAD: The Lahore Defence police have registered a criminal case against four girl students of a private school for allegedly torturing their class fellow girl.

The police acted when the video clip of the alleged torture of a girl by her four classmates went viral on social media in Pakistan.

The First Information Report (FIR) was registered on a complaint of the victim’s father, Imran Younis, who said that his daughter was studying at the American International School in the Defence Housing Authority. He has alleged that one of the four girls involved in the attack was carrying the dagger.

He alleged that the girls dragged his daughter on the ground by holding her hair, sat on the girl’s back, and subjected her to inhuman torture.

Imran has said that one of the girls was the boxer who hit his daughter in her face while another kicked my daughter, causing wounds to her face. He said another girl tried strangulating his daughter, adding that the video clip has sufficient evidence for legal action against the attackers.

He said his daughter was traumatized following the attack, and the video clip caused mental torture to him and his family.

About the motive of the assault on his daughter, he alleged in the FIR the prime suspect was allegedly a drug addict who “had offered my girl a dose of the drug to inhale in the school, which she rejected to do”.

He also said that his daughter had recorded a video of her classmates taking drugs in the private school.

He also said that he has approached the Federal Investigation Agency for action against those who uploaded the video of the assault on her daughter on the social media.
