ISLAMABAD: Foreign media correspondents arriving for the 23rd meeting of the Council of Heads of Government (CHG) of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) on Wednesday praised Pakistan for the arrangements made at the SCO Media Facilitation Center for international journalists.

Speaking on the condition of anonymity, the correspondents noted that the thematic setting, digital library, high-speed internet, computers, and printing facilities—with multiple TV screens broadcasting live coverage from various SCO member states—were all thoughtfully organized to ensure comprehensive media coverage at the Pak-China Friendship Center.

One foreign journalist remarked that the digital screens displaying banners of member states alongside their national monuments reflected a warm gesture of solidarity from the host country. She also highlighted the clock wall featuring time zones of different member states, which provided useful real-time information for journalists.

Another correspondent expressed appreciation for the studio and podcast cabin on-site, noting that many had used it to record podcasts and conduct live interviews regarding SCO updates.

The foreign journalists also commended the inaugural musical night, particularly the captivating qawwali performance that left attendees mesmerized. Additionally, a running cafeteria was established to offer finger foods and refreshments, enjoyed by both local and international journalists.
